Terms of Service
VRC Radar is a free community project. By using the site you agree to these simple terms.
They cover the website and calendar, the VRC Radar - Events sync bot, and the separate VRC Radar - Verification bot. The general terms apply to all three; the verification bot has a few extra terms of its own.
Calendar & the Events bot
Service "as is"
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we aren't liable for any loss arising from its use.
Acceptable use
Please don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt or overload it, no automated scraping, no unauthorized access, and nothing unlawful. Accounts that abuse the service may be removed.
Content
Event and community information shown here originates from connected Discord servers and remains the property of its respective owners. VRC Radar simply displays it.
The Verification bot
Link only your own account
Link the VRChat account that belongs to you. Claiming someone else's account is grounds for having the link removed and being refused further use of the bot.
Roles are a convenience, not proof
The bot confirms that a VRChat account exists and that nobody else has claimed it. It does not prove that you own it. Age status is whatever VRChat reports for the account — we don't assess it ourselves and we can't vouch for it. Server admins should treat the roles it grants as a convenience, not as a guarantee of anyone's identity or age.
Server admins
If you run a server, you decide which roles the bot grants and to whom, and you're responsible for your own role hierarchy and permissions. Anything the bot does in your server follows the configuration you gave it.
Third-party data
Some links are imported from VRify, a third-party directory. We can't vouch for the accuracy of data that originates there. Every imported account is re-checked against VRChat before it is used.
Availability
The bot depends on the Discord and VRChat APIs. Those can go down, change, or rate-limit us, so verification may be delayed or unavailable at times. The same "as is" terms above apply.
Removing your link
Run /unlink-vrchat whenever you like. We may also unlink an
account or refuse service where these terms are abused.
Changes
These terms may change over time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
